What Makes the SPLENDOR X Special?

  • Ideal for all skin types

  • Faster and fewer sessions

  • Long-lasting results

  • Comfortable treatments

The Lumenis SPLENDOR X laser hair removal with BLEND X technology, combines the ND: YAG (1064nm) laser and the Alexandrite (755nm) laser. The different wavelengths can be synchronized to be fired independently or simultaneously. The Alexandrite laser is great for treating lighter skin and the ND:YAG laser is great for treating darker skin, but not everyone’s skin type is purely on one end of the spectrum or the other. The SPLENDOR X laser has the ability to adjust both wavelengths with varying proportions to tailor treatment, according to the individual’s skin type, hair color and thickness.

SPLENDOR X features a unique square-shaped laser spot that safely covers every single inch of skin being treated. The square spot shape eliminates overlap and hot spots for uniform skin coverage. All other hair removal laser applicators worked with a round spot size, which makes uniform coverage almost impossible. The Dual Cooling System (DCS) combines cooled air and a cooled tip to protect your skin and ensure a very comfortable treatment. Laser hair removal is painless at DLC!

How does it work?

Laser hair removal uses a laser energy to induce permanent damage to the hair follicle. Hairs that best absorb laser energy are those that are coarse and darkly pigmented. The melanin in the hair absorbs this energy and converts it into heat which then destroys the hair follicles to prevent or stop future growth. The SPLENDOR X technology harnesses the power of two wavelengths for greater effectiveness.

When will I see Results?

Laser hair removal requires multiple treatments. The laser most effectively disables hair that is in the Active Growth Phase. Because all the hair in the treated area may not be in the Active Growth Phase, more than one treatment is necessary to remove the hair. We generally recommend 6-12 laser treatments, spaced 4-6 weeks apart for best results. Treatments are spaced apart so that, when these hairs ultimately enter the growing phase, they will be effectively treated during  future treatments. For most body areas, a minimum of five treatments are necessary to achieve optimal results.
